Baritone

Recipient of the Kathy McRee Award

Michael Hewitt is a baritone based in Houston, TX. 

An alumnus of Houston Grand Opera’s Young Artist Vocal Academy, The Music Academy of The West, and Seagle Music Colony, Michael has recently begun studies for his Master of Music degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.

Michael has taken the stage as the title role in Don Giovanni, Frank Butler in Annie, Get Your Gun, Lancelot in Camelot, Alidoro in La Cenerentola, Emile de Becque in South Pacific, and Jud Fry in Oklahoma!, among others. In concert, he has been seen as the Bass Soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and in Mozart’s Requiem.

Michael is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association.
