\"\"<\/a>Sam Jew Kim, mezzo-soprano, is recently appeared as Renaud in Lully\u2019s Armide. She has performed with the Le Ch\u00e2teau de la Voix, the Baroque Artists of Champaign Urbana, the Concerto Urbano Baroque Ensemble, the Wesley Foundation at UIUC, and the Acad\u00e9mie Internationale d\u2019Et\u00e9 de Nice. Credits include roles in operas by Mozart, Donizetti, Verdi, Saint-Sa\u00ebns, Mascagni, Cilea, Puccini and Wagner, as well as leading roles La Clemenza di Tito, Samson et Dalila, Madama Butterfly, The Portrait of Manon, Il Trovatore,\u00a0 Cavalleria Rusticana, and Das Rheingold.\u00a0 <\/span>Comfortable with the concert repertoire, she has performed works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, and Vivaldi. Credits as a versatile performer and musician, she received her master\u2019s degree in vocal performance from New England Conservatory of Music. Sam Jew won the third Prize of Madame Butterfly International Competition in 2016, the Judge Special Prize of Partners for the Arts in 2016, the fourth prize of Cooper-Bing International Vocal Competition in 2015, the second prize of Barry Alexander International Vocal Competition in 2009 and Jury prize of Czech International vocal competition in 2010. She was a finalist of Holland Chorale Nicholas Loren Vocal competition in 2015. At the present, Sam Jew is pursuing her doctoral degree in vocal performance at the University of Illinois under the tutelage of soprano Cynthia Haymon.<\/span><\/p>\n
