\"\"<\/a>Known for her absolute precision, fiery coloratura, and honeyed timbre, soprano Rainelle Krause is a versatile and compelling singer. She was most recently seen in collaboration with San Antonio’s SOLI ensemble as the Queen of the Night, and with Painted Sky Opera’s production of the The Medium as Monica. Rainelle has also sung with Opera Piccola of San Antonio as Belinda in Dido and Aeneas, and Blonde in their Abduction from the Seraglio. She sang with Opera for the Young’s touring production of Cendrillon as Cendrillon and La F\u00e9e, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) with Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music Opera Theater, and Galatea (Acis y Galatea) with Opera Nova Costa Rica.\u00a0 Rainelle has trained as young artist with the Sankt Goar International Music Festival and Academy in Germany, the OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program in Los Angeles in summer 2013, Opera Las Vegas in spring 2013, and the Taos Opera Institute and Opera Nova Costa Rica in 2012. She has also been awarded First Place in the Fielder Grant Competition, Third Place and Audience Favorite in the Orpheus Competition, and been a finalist in the International Mildred Miller Competition in Pittsburgh, a Regional Finalist with the Metropolitan National Council Auditions in New Orleans and St. Louis, a semi-finalist and finalist with the Lois Alba Competition in Houston, and the Licia Puccini-Albanesi and Gari Foundation competitions in NYC. In 2014, Rainelle was invited back to Taos as a guest artist, performing in venues all across Taos and Santa Fe.\u00a0 Some of her concert credits include Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Plano Sympthony Orchestra, Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem and Haydn’s Paukenmesse with the Amarillo Master Chorale, Orff\u2019s Carmina Burana with the Indiana University Philharmonic Orchestra and University Choir, and Vivaldi\u2019s Magnificat with the Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.\u00a0 Rainelle has performed with Fort Worth’s Casa Ma\u00f1ana in their production of The Sound of Music, as well as the Fort Worth Opera chorus in The Pearl Fishers, La Traviata, and Hamlet.\u00a0 From her hometown of Bloomington, IN, Rainelle holds a Bachelors of Music (2010) and a Masters of Music (2012) in Vocal Performance from Indiana University\u2019s Jacobs School of Music. She currently lives in the DFW area, and trains on aerial silks.<\/span><\/p>\n
