William Buhidar<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

William Buhidar\u2019s work has been presented on broadcasts of National Public Radio\u2019s \u201cPerformance Today\u201d<\/em> and programmed on radio stations such as Baltimore\u2019s WBJC-FM<\/em> and Corpus Christi\u2019s KEDT-FM<\/em>.\u00a0 Concert reviews of his performances reflect his solid reputation among critics and audiences alike.\u00a0 Mr. Buhidar has conducted a wide spectrum of music that has included symphonic and chamber orchestra concerts, complete dramatic opera and ballet productions, choral programs, and a wide variety of \u201cpops\u201d concerts.\u00a0 Additionally, he is an active Clinician\/Consultant for Youth Orchestras.\u00a0 This past summer, Mr. Buhidar was selected for a third consecutive time as a participant in the Eastman School of Music Summer Conducting Institute where he studied with Neil Varon, Professor of Conducting and Ensembles at the Eastman School of Music and a former student of Leonard Bernstein and Herbert von Karajan.\u00a0 As a part of the Institute, Mr. Buhidar conducted the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.\u00a0 Mr. Buhidar holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Performance and teaches at the University of Texas-Pan American.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the prestigious invitation and sponsorship of the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Munich, Germany William Buhidar\u2019s keen conducting skills were called upon to assist in the gala production of \u201cDer Rosenkavalier\u201d<\/em> for the re-opening of the Prinzregententheater. During the George Gershwin Centennial, Mr. Buhidar was selected to serve as Music Director for an official production with the New Palais Royale Orchestra<\/em> approved by the Gershwin Estate.\u00a0 He also served as Conductor\/Artistic Director for The Mozart Madness Festival celebrating the music of W. A. Mozart.\u00a0 Mr. Buhidar has also conducted opera productions for the South Florida Opera Company and the Society of Classical Arts in the West Palm Beach area that have included Carmen<\/em>, La Boh\u00e8me<\/em>, and Madama Butterfly<\/em>.\u00a0 He served for several years as Principal Guest Conductor and Associate Conductor of the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra and was chosen by the U.S.S. Lexington as the conductor to initiate their annual Fourth of July flight deck concerts and served seven consecutive seasons as Music Director of these performances.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
