As the winner of the Bid\u00fa Say\u00e3o International Vocal Competition in 2001, Dr. Bento-Gon\u00e7alves made his debut at Theatro da Paz, Brazil\u2019s oldest opera house, in 2002 as Banco in Verdi\u2019s\u00a0Macbeth\u00a0under the baton of maestro Patrick Shelley from Dorset Opera, England.
