\"\"<\/a>Bille Bruley, tenor, hails from Montgomery, Texas and is currently pursuing Graduate Studies in Opera Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying under Carol Vaness. He completed his studies in Vocal Performance at Baylor University in 2014. Recently, Bille was named First Place Winner at the Metropolitan Opera National Council District Auditions in Houston, TX, and was a Regional Finalist at the MONC Gulf Coast Regional Finals.<\/span>
\n Mr. Bruley has participated in summer training and young artist programs, and will be returning to Central City Opera as an Apprentice Artist for their 2015 season. He will be singing The Tempter in Britten\u2019s The Prodigal Son, Gastone in Verdi\u2019s La Traviata, and covering Sancho in Leigh\u2019s Man of La Mancha.\u00a0 He has been accepted to many prestigious programs including The Glimmerglass Festival, Central City Opera, Opera Saratoga, and Opera in the Ozarks, to name a few. Awards include the Central City Opera Studio Artist Award, the Thomas Stewart Award for Vocal Excellence from the Baylor University School of Music, Finalist in the 2014 Dallas Opera Guild Competition, Semi-Finalist in the 2013 Lois Alba Aria Competition, and Third Place Winner in the MTNA National Young Artist Competition. <\/span>
\n Mr. Bruley has also been a featured Soloist or Performer with many orchestras, symphonies, and ensembles across the nation, including The Waco Symphony, The Fort Worth Baroque Society, The Texas Baroque Ensemble, and The South Dakota Chorale. Upcoming performances include two performances at the National American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Convention with the South Dakota Chorale, performances as Tenor Soloist in Haydn\u2019s Harmoniemesse and Bach\u2019s Missa in A with the IU Historical Performance Institute, and performances as Tenor Soloist with the Duke Vespers Ensemble. He will also be making his first commercial recording with the Duke Vespers Ensemble, Mallarm\u00e9 Chamber Orchestra\u2028and Washington Cornett and Sackbutt Ensemble as Tenor Soloist on a program of 17th Century Roman music, including the world premiere recording of Sances\u2019 Missa. Grammy-award winner Blanton Alspaugh produces the recording, and live performances of the project will be at Duke University and the Boston Early Music Festival. <\/span><\/p>\n
